Thanks to the generosity of many donors, The University of Vermont Medical Center has developed an extensive collection of artwork by Vermont artists that is designed to ease the stress of being in a hospital environment. Although much of the artwork is on display throughout the hospital campus and satellite buildings, some is in patient-care settings that often makes it inaccessible.
With a generous donation by artist Michael Buckley and his wife Laura Lipton — and with the assistance of Burlington City Arts — the UVM Medical Center has created this online art gallery, making it possible for anyone, anywhere, to explore, interact with, and reflect upon the healing power of art.
Click and explore...and share your responses to the artwork and our rotating exhibitions, including "Illuminate," "From Here to There," and our newest exhibition, "New Acquisitions: A look back at 2017," which highlights new pieces that have been added to the UVM Medical Center collection.
