Julia Purinton

Julia graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Fine Arts, pursued a course of study at the School of Fine Arts in New York City, before settling in New England, first on Boston's North Shore, then in the Mad River Valley of Vermont. Frequently exhibiting throughout New England in shows benefitting environmental and conservation causes, Julie has been awarded Best of Show at the Crane Estate Art Show (2008 and 2011), the Ipswich Cultural Council (2007), People's Choice (2009), and Award of Excellence (2005, 2006 and 2008) at the Ipswich Cultural Council annual art show.

Purinton's paintings have been selected for exhibition at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts State House, The University of Vermont Medical Center (Burlington, VT), Green Mountain Cultural Center (Waitsfield, VT), North Country Cultural Center for the Arts (Plattsburgh, NY), Metropolitan Life (Montpelier, VT), and the Burlington Center for the Arts (Burlington, VT).  Gallery representation includes Edgewater Gallery (Middlebury, VT), Peter Alpers Fine Art (Andover, MA) and Gay Head Gallery on Martha's Vineyard.
