Mary Zompetti

Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Mary Zompetti is a photo-based artist currently living and working in Virginia. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Arts from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University. Her work has been nationally and internationally exhibited, recently at the Mjólkurbúðin Gallery in Akureyri, Iceland, and at the A.I.R. Gallery in Brooklyn, New York, for the "Biennial Making and Taking Pictures Reconsidered" exhibition, curated by Nancy Princenthal.

Mary is a multi-year recipient of the Vermont Arts Council Artist Development Grant and was a Guest Artist in Akureyri, Iceland in 2014 and 2015. She was formerly the Photography Program Director for Burlington City Arts and taught in the Creative Media program at Champlain College in Burlington.
