Susan Bull Riley

Susan Bull Riley is a painter living in East Montpelier Center, Vermont. Her primary muse is Vermont’s natural world.

Susan graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in music and earned a master's degree in flute performance from the New England Conservatory of Music, but it is art that eventually commanded her energy.  At age 40, she took the leap into becoming a full-time painter.

Susan's work in the realm of natural history has received honors in galleries and institutions where there is national and international representation.  It has been used by organizations such as The New York State Museum, The National Science Foundation, the Vermont Community Foundation, the American Chestnut Foundation, the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology, and local land trusts.
